The House Armed Services Committee met to receive testimony on the President's decision to commit American forces in an international effort to shield Libya's civilian population from a tyrant. The committee voiced concerns, however, over the President's objectives in Libya, the length of stay and commitment of our forces to Libya, and the President's decision to circumvent Congress's approval before moving forward in Libya.
