Congressman Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon) made the following remarks after the House voted to approve a “continuing resolution” (CR) that provides funding for the federal government and protects the American people from the President’s health care law:
"Today, the House voted again to defund Obamacare, this time as part of the short-term government spending bill. The House continues to lead the fight to stop Obamacare, and we have been clear on this point - we want to prevent the terrible consequences that it will inflict on the American people, and we will use every opportunity we can to do so.
Now, it is up to the Republicans and like-minded Democrats in the Senate to defend the American people from Obamacare."
