Dear Friends,
Last week, I had the chance to discuss what the recent agreement in the defense budget means to our area.
In Wichita Falls, I met with the Sheppard Military Affairs Committee (SMAC) to discuss Sheppard Air Force Base (SAFB). We discussed what the defense budget means for Sheppard and the vital support that the region provides to the men and women who serve there. We have to make sure that our military has what they need in order to do the job that we have asked them to do.
In the Panhandle, I toured the Bell plant in Amarillo to get an update on the V-280 program and the other vital programs there. Both Bell and the Pantex Plant play such an important role not only for our part of Texas, but for our country. The people and facilities in our area work to keep our country safe, secure, and free, for which I am grateful. I look forward to seeing more great accomplishments from both Bell and Pantex in the future.
I invite you to learn more by visiting my website here. Have a question you would like answered? Please contact me by phone, letter, e-mail, on Facebook, or on Twitter.
As always, I appreciate hearing from you.
Sincerely,
