Listening to and communicating with the people I work for in the 13th district of Texas is one of my most important responsibilities. One of the ways that I am able to do that is through my website, www.thornberry.house.gov. We recently improved the site with the goal of making it more user-friendly and easier to navigate. It is now available for you to visit. There are many tools and resources that you will find on the new website. For instance, you can research the latest bills that the House of Representatives are considering by clicking here. You can also see how I voted on each bill in this section. Whether it is an issue like national security, the budget, energy or agriculture, you can find my thoughts in the “Issues” section of the website. All of these features are meant to offer you a way to get answers to questions that you may have 24 hours a day. The new website also provides you with access to information about the services that my office offers to all of the constituents of the 13th District. You can book a Capitol tour for your next trip to Washington, D.C., learn more about the assistance we provide when dealing with federal agencies such as the Social Security Administration or Veterans Affairs, or you may want to apply for an internship with one of my offices. I believe that the more you know about the work I am doing in Congress the easier it is for you to give me feedback. Your opinions and insights help me do a better job, and it also allows you to play a more active role in your federal government.
